ABOUT ME
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Hi, I'm Emily. I am British, born in Guernsey, Channel Islands in 2000, where I grew up and lived prior to relocating to Bahrain in 2008. Whilst living in Bahrain I studied British Curriculum at primary school, before moving to Dubai in 2011, where I undertook GCSEs and GCE A-levels at Jumeirah College.
I will be relocating to Brisbane to study a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (Hons) as an International Student at the University of Queensland, Australia in February 2019. This multi-disciplinary program combines Criminal Law with key elements of Forensic and Crime Science to build a strong foundation across major Criminal Justice concepts. Within my undergraduate course, I will also acquire knowledge about International Security Studies, counter-terrorism, transnational crime and professional practice in public policy.
I plan to specialize in Crime Science and Research Analysis, focusing on the application of science to understand crime problems, develop strategies for preventing them and subsequently increase the probability of detecting and arresting offenders.
Upon graduation, I hope to work in the field of Crime Science and Investigation for public sector employers and governmental organisations.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a highly motivated student and I am looking for a challenging opportunity to develop my skills with a dynamic and exciting company. I enjoy working with set tasks and I am very dedicated and diligent with all the work, which I am given. It is essential to me that I complete tasks to the best of my ability, ensuring I meet all deadlines. I am organised, well presented and enjoy meeting new people and the opportunity to work with others.
